Staying at the A-frame was a wonderful experience. The structure itself was cozy and welcoming, and Kent made sure that we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The paths around the island are well marked and it was so easy to find the canoes when we wanted to take a leisurely paddle around the island with our dog. We can’t wait to come again!

I was looking for something that would keep us from the hustle and bustle of the world. To stay in nature and enjoy the beauty of rest and relaxation, truly.
This was just that. Unwind, breathe in the light breeze and relax. We cooked good Whole Foods, sat by the fire, took naps in the hammocks, Bird watched and read books. The water is beautiful and the vibe is divine.
Kent is a great host and extremely generous. We are grateful to be aware of 1BSI and we will surely be back. Blessed.

It is a great place to visit, quite and beautiful water front view. Kayak is a great experience.
Just one comment: The wifi hotspot suddenly becomes slow on our second day for unknown reason.

Kent and Heather were amazing hosts and incredibly helpful. seriously take their advice and pack light! they provide so many amenities. It's a wonderful experience and really catered so you can focus more on your stay and enjoy your time there. learning about the island and lakes history was also fascinating so be sure to ask about its archaeological significance! The stars are also incredible to gaze at late at night from either your campsite dock or main dock. And dont forget to listen to the loons calling at night! All around one of the best trips I decided to take!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations for a weekend getaway. The island was beautiful and incredibly relaxing with no shortage of things to do. Host was super accommodating and did everything in his power to make sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. He even provided us with a rod and tackle when we forgot our own!

A wonderful destination for those looking to unwind, recharge, and live at nature's pace. Kent has created the perfect combination of being away from it all, yet with just enough creature comforts to make this a unique glamping experience.
