Getting to 1 Big Sustainable Island
You've booked an island stay, so naturally the universe expects a little adventure from you. Good news: we give you several ways to arrive, each with its own flavor of fun. Choose the path that best suits your crew's sense of boldness… or chaos.
CHECK IN ALL BY YOURSELF
Bring your own boat (or boat plane?)
Launch from the public boat ramp, leave your trailer in our free parking area, and enjoy free island dock space. Very nautical. Very you.
Paddle yourself across
Borrow one of our canoes or kayaks and enjoy the 30-minute glide across Annabessacook. If you want to travel light, we can ferry your gear over on the next boat.
OR USE THE FERRY SERVICE
Free Ferry Times:
- 9:45 AM - Early Arrival
Arrive before your stay is ready. We'll store your gear and let you slip into “Island Time” immediately. - 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM - Standard Check-In
Ride over with your crew while we shuffle your gear and guide you into island mode.
Additional ferry times can be pre-arranged for a one-way fee.
Seats are first come, first served, so reserve early.
Safety Note: If you're paddling, please be off the water by sundown (which means departing from shore more than 30 minutes before sundown).
The ferry ride is just 15 minutes, but long enough to feel like you're crossing into an alternate reality where clocks run slower and hammocks become legitimate seating.

Leave your vehicle in our private parking area at no cost.
Grab a gear cart, roll your belongings down to the dock, and watch “Island You” start to emerge.
