Second time out to the island but first time staying at oaktagon. We loved every moment. We enjoyed the bigger space and everything the island has to offer. As always we cannot wait to return. Thank you Kent and team!

Words cannot describe how amazing our weekend was. Kent was extremely helpful from start to finish. He was always making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. You can tell how much thought and effort is put into all of the details of your stay. The property itself was very unique and even more amazing in person. This was just what we needed for a peaceful and relaxing weekend trip away from our busy everyday lives. We enjoyed every aspect from fishing, sitting by the fire, taking a sunset canoe ride, and just exploring the island. Although this was definitely one of our favorite getaways, somehow the dogs enjoyed it even more! There are truly too many good things to say about this place. No need to waste your time reading this long review, just pack up your dogs and book it!

Kent was an absolute gem. One of the kindest most welcoming hosts I've ever had on airbnb. My partner and I spent our anniversary at 1BSI and it was the perfect destination. We definitely plan on coming back in the future! Thanks for everything Kent.

fantastic, exactly as advertised, and we fully intend to return. the kids would like to go in summer to take advantage of the pristine lake, Lynn and I want to return in the fall as the lake is quiet and the foliage is outstanding. the island really does represent a complete, invasive plant free, southern Maine forest ecotype and its a delight to experience that without having to hike miles into a national forest

We had a wonderful experience at the Oaktagon. Kent made our stay as comfortable and smooth as imaginable. The Oaktagon is so beautiful and stocked with everything you need. Kent provided great info prior to the trip and made arrival and departure really easy. We loved walking around the trails, kayaking, canoeing and relaxing by the fire pit. An amazing place! Hope we can come back soon!!

We wanted a peaceful getaway out in the woods and near a body of water. That is just what we got. We stayed in the Oaktagon tree house which is on an island in the middle of Lake Annabessacook. We didn't have to bring anything other than food and clothing. Canoes and kayaks were readily available along with fishing poles and our own dock. There is free WIFI. Ice packs are brought out to the island everyday. There is plenty of free firewood. This was worry free camping. Just relax and enjoy.
