Hammock Haven is tuned to Nature’s soundtrack — loons calling at dusk, water lapping beneath the dock, wind moving through the trees, and the occasional splash from someone giving in to the lake. From your island dome, you’ll fall asleep to these rhythms and wake as light skims across Annabessacook Lake. Days unfold to a steady beat: cooking simple meals, drifting in hammocks just above the water, paddling the shoreline, and wandering the wooded trails of our 14-acre island. No headphones required.

This was a great little adventure. I arrived early and enjoyed the island before checkin - including the kayaks that are available. The place was just as described- clean and well equipped. Kent is knowledgeable and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book this gem and have an adventure of your own!
Our stay was such a wonderful experience all around! There were so many activities on the island and opportunities to explore. Our stay at hemlock haven had everything we needed and more. Kent was incredibly helpful with every part of the stay and we can’t recommend this place enough!
This is the perfect place to rest, explore, read, walk, contemplate and just have a great time! Kent is an amazing host and the island is dream. <br/>We’ll definitely come back!
We had a wonderful glamping experience on the island. Kent is a wonderful host- extremely welcoming, informative, and thoughtful. We loved the set-up he’s designed and had great fun exploring his little paradise. We were looking for a stopping point on the way to Acadia with our toddler and this gem did not disappoint. Our only regret was not staying more than one night!
I'm typically the air-bnb-er that likes to self-check in, hide out in solitude, and slip out leaving no trace behind. I rolled the dice that I'd have privacy at this place after being dropped off and I lucked out! None of the other island inhabitants strolled by as they very well could, and I stuck to my site in turn (except for a tour around the island in a kayak!) Lots of loons at night! The bathroom and shower were good albeit a bit intense, instructionally, the first time around. Very inspiring sustainability set-up! It rained my last night, making for a wet and sort of awkward morning. I hope to return!
Kent was a terrific host! Highly knowledgeable of the area, friendly and high communication throughout the trip. The place was the perfect private spot for some R&R.
Kent is a wonderful host -- from greeting at the dock, to ride over to the island full of informal island/lake history, to getting set up at the campsite -- his care of and passion about the land is evident in all he does. The island is beautiful, with varied ecology along the perimeter path; interesting also to canoe around the island. The tent and campsite were clean and comfortable, and with the gas grill, cooking was easy. We had a bit of rain here and there, nothing major, but were grateful for the tarp and decking as well as the large umbrella over the table. Kent's two dogs are delightful and serene -- I happen to love dogs, but I trust that for anyone who doesn't, their presence wouldn't be an issue. The loo building is beautifully constructed, clean, odorless and pleasant (I didn't try the shower, but that's probably pretty nice also).
We had an amazing time here. The set up was just perfect and everything was super clean. The use of the canoe was also wonderful as we had a nice sunset paddle and the fishing great. It’s really a beautiful place with such a kind and helpful host.
A beautiful island, and stress-free camping where all the gear is waiting for you! Kent is an amazing host and took care of every want (usually before we were aware of it).
My one night stay was too short. The island is amazing and peaceful and Kent is a wondetful host ready to accomodate. I so very much enjoyed my time. Cozy tent, beautiful island!
