I can't say enough good things about this place! Whether you're looking for one night away just to check out from "city life" and experience camping with little to zero effort, or if you're looking for a place where you can kick back for a few days, this is the place. We stayed for one night, but I could have easily found myself relaxing on this island for days on end.
There's plenty to do, despite the relatively small and isolated nature of the island. We loved that we were able to borrow some old fishing rods and take a canoe out at sunset. The grill setup made dinner such a fun and easy experience. There really is just about everything you could think to need already there ready for you. This host has thought ahead and is ready to meet your accomodations and requests better than most concierges at high end hotels I've stayed at! Bravo!
We loved that we got to "Rent a dog" for a night when our host's pooch Shadow decided he wanted to sleep on the island and keep us company fireside. He may have earned a hotdog for his companionship and loyalty. :)
Can't wait to come back!

This was a wonderful island experience! Kent was a lovely host! Everything we could possibly need was available to us. If we didn’t have it Kent graciously offered to bring it to us and did so with lightning speed!! I highly recommend for an island camping experience where all you need to bring is your clothing, food and a sense of adventure and fun!

This was by far the most amazing and unique experience! The host is exceptional and checks on the island multiple times a day. There is nothing more that they could possibly offer. The remote island glamping experience was a 10 out of 10. We will most definitely be looking to return ! The sustainability is impressive and the amount of “work” Kent has put into his island is inspiring- even though Kent says “if it was work, I wouldn’t be doing it”.

We stayed two fun nights on the island and actually booked two different properties- The A frame and Loon Point, bc of booking a little last minute on our end. Kent was so kind to move our stuff for us while we were off the island for part of the day. Everything is so clear in communication and Kent goes out of his way to make the stay easy. Both spaces were lovely and clean, with so many supplies provided. Swimming was amazing. If you want more open space and views of the lake, I would recommend Loon Point, but the wood stove in the A frame made for a cozy night too. I would definitely return!

The tent was super clean and very comfortable! It was so nice to be camping but climb into a clean bed at the end of the day. I really enjoyed waking up in the morning and looking out at the water from inside the tent. The grill was easy to use and we made delicious meals. This tent feels very private and separate from the other sites on the island. We only heard all the different bird calls and the waves. Very relaxing!

Our time on the island was absolutely perfect. The tent and campsite had everything we needed for our stay. Kent was extremely informative about the history of the island and was effective in sharing his love and appreciation for the lake and surrounding area. We can’t wait to come back!
