Had a good time on our island visit! Loon point was a great choice for us as it had the best water access. We enjoyed the paddleboard and swimming. Got to enjoy some wildlife! Kent was flexible and responsive, helping with anything we needed. Shockingly the bugs were not bad! Everything needed was present, including some games to play on a chilly day.

I’m not a religious person, but I felt like I touched God on this island. Everything about it is divine — the gorgeous campsites, the perfect lake, the stunning backdrop, the realization that life should look more like this — Kent & Heather thank you for creating this wonderland, the world is better for it.

We struggled with some initial indecision on which IBSI site to book for our first trip to the island, but the moment we rowed up to Loon point in our borrowed canoe we knew right away we’d made the right choice. What a view! Every day on IBSI was a perfect balance of adventure and quiet relaxation. We took full advantage of all the generously provided amenities from canoe to kayaks to the do-it-yourself sound and cold plunge. Kent and Heather were always available and attentive, ready to support us whenever we needed. The supplies available made it very easy to feel ready for a camping experience. We cannot have imagined a better mid-summer escape. We love the sustainable mission behind one BSI. Our time here provided a unique opportunity to be especially thoughtful about our use of resources and impact on the land something we are especially grateful for. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Loon Point! It was the perfect spot to unwind and (although it is not required) unplug! We will absolutely be visiting again! Kent was a great host and gave tons of information!

1 Big Sustainable Island is a nature lovers dream!! While relaxing and fishing by the dock, you can hear so many birds (especially loons) and while out on the canoes/kayaks provided, you may even see an Osprey! The space felt so private and secluded amongst nature, while having all of the "glamping" amenities. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful weekend, Keith and team :)<br/>Also, transportation to and from the island is VERY convenient. Keith and his team were great with helping transport our items on and off the boat and to our site. Be prepared for a decent walk to the bathrooms though if you stay at Loon Point.

Second stay at 1BSI and WOW! Kent & Co have created an indescribable experience that even the weakest of campers (us) can enjoy the exquisite nature stay on Lake Annabessacook. We camped, canoed, hiked, ate, and slept like forest fairies under the stars. Can’t wait to go back and try a different camp site next year. I wish every Air BnB was this level of hospitality, sustainability, and AWESOME.
