Loon Point is a front-row seat to one of Maine’s most iconic performances. Perched above Annabessacook Lake with sweeping 270-degree views, this island tent overlook is serenaded daily by loons — calling across the water at dawn, echoing at dusk, and occasionally laughing you to sleep. It’s a stay shaped by their rhythms, where mornings begin with mist and music and evenings end with the lake settling into quiet loon conversation.

Amazing experience.
This is a very special place. Kent and his team are friendly and helpful. The amenities are very comprehensive. We love this place and hope to come back again.
Another 10,000/10 review for 1BSI!!! It’s clear how much love Kent and crew put into the island to keep it accessible, clean, and ready to camp! Seriously- like the description says, all you need is food and clothes. Incredible views (sunrise and sunset), lovely loon tunes, endless swimming, hammocking, and relaxing. Perfect spot for families and pups- they even left some treats for the 4 legged member of the family. We already can’t wait to return!
Absolutely amazing place and the owner was awesome. 10/10 would stay again
Absolutely one of a kind and gorgeous! The location and island was beautiful. Kent and Hesrher went above and beyond. A lot of love has gone into this special spot and I think once anyone visits they will always want to return. Everything was spectacular. The ease of being able to use the boats, the smarts of how the island operated in environmentally friendly manner, the kind campers you’d occasionally run into, and Kent’s pro active care were top notch. Wonderful place to spend time with loved ones. Giant classroom for children and adults alike. We stayed at Looks Point in the rent and it was perfection. Our little beach, the dock, the sunsets, the adventures…..and even when things went awry Kent let me know my car had flat tire on the parking lot and was tremendously helpful and sensitive about trying yo help me not have yo deal with while on vacation. I have a new found love for loons now as well. Will definitely be back! Don’t think twice! Just go.
For me, my husband and small dog, this place was just the right balance of rustic and being pampered for. Camping with unlimited water to drink and firewood to burn felt like a luxury. Property management was welcoming supportive and communicative.

There’s a learning curve to operating the shower that involves a little more effort than turning one dial to on or off.
